I am a self taught artist. Having worked with my hands most of my life, those years of experiences have guided me to become a sculptor. My work as a sculptor was initiated by the purchase of a block of machinable wax in 2003. Producing sculpture entails both artistic skills and the skills of an artisan. The numerous disciplines required by the works bring me joy and a sense of purpose. The journey is and has been long but is most rewarding.

My study of the human form has commenced with the feminine. The aim is to portray the human condition as witnessed in each of the works. I feel the human form is at once beautiful, inspiring, unique and precious. Sculpture affords me a medium to display my passions, my sense of humanity, the humanity of those posing and my quest to enrich our existence.

I have been engaged with creating pencil drawing for nearly 30 years and the work is ongoing. Additionally, have recently commenced an exploration of working with watercolors and find both pencil work and water color to be a welcome respite the turbulence in the world allowing me to reflect images as seen into works of art.
